Who We Are:
We are a small home inspection company and our goal is to provide you, the home buyer with the knowledge to make a sound real estate purchase. Jay Womack, the company owner will inspect and evaluate the major components of the home. We serve the Greater Cleveland area and perform our inspection to the ASHI® Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics.

Serving Northeast Ohio, American Building Inspections specializes in providing home owners, prospective buyers, and realty professionals with quality home inspection services. We offer a variety of services beyond home inspections including radon and pest inspections. A written report is prepared during the approximate 3 hour inspection, and the original is handed to you upon completion.
A pre inspection "Contract for Inspection Services" must be signed before a inspection can be started. Our inspections are performed to the Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics of the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI®). Jay Womack, the company owner, ASHI® Member #96282 and Ohio Licensed Radon Tester, performs all inspections. He has performed over 5,000 home inspections and has over 20 years experience in buildings. He will evaluate the homes strengths and weaknesses. Jay encourages you to attend the inspection. He will discuss with you and report any major defects and safety related issues observed during the inspection. He will talk to you about any particular concerns you may have and will offer preventative maintenance tips. When the inspection is completed to your satisfaction, Jay will go over the report in detail, so you will have the knowledge to make an informed decision.
Before leaving the property he will provide you with a twenty page inspection report that includes a monthly maintenance schedule and other helpful information. Evening and weekend appointments available.
Jay Womack is a Certified member of American Society of Home Inspectors and a state licensed radon tester. He has over twenty-five years of experience in residential and commercial construction. He speaks at real estate offices and homebuyer seminars, providing education on the value of home inspections.
